REV wins three Tellys in the 45th Annual Telly Awards
Honors include two silver Telly Awards and one bronze Telly Award for marketing and community relations initiatives in 2023
Gonzales, La. – REV was awarded three Telly Awards for projects completed in 2023. Two silver Telly Awards were earned for marketing commercials that not only highlighted REV’s nearly 90-year history of unmatched local support throughout their regions but also spotlighted their partnership with businesses across Louisiana. REV also won a bronze Telly Award for the provider’s Bayou Region Tailgate Show, which featured a rival match-up between two local schools – Central Lafourche High School and South Lafourche High School.
“Every year, our leadership team is proud of the high caliber work the marketing, production and community relations teams produce, and this year is not any different,” said Tressy Leindecker, REV’s executive vice president of Sales and Marketing. “This team of creative communicators is always up for the challenge – supplying original and inspiring content that not only moved our company forward in 2023 but is work deserving of national attention that also created positive momentum carrying REV into 2024.”
The Telly Awards were established in 1979 to honor the best in video and television. This year, The Telly Awards focused on exploring new storytelling formats and emerging technology by introducing a few new categories including Generative AI, Accessibility, Brand Collaboration, Data Visualization and Explainer. The organizers say they received nearly 13,000 entries from across the globe including all 50 states as well as Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The Telly Awards Judging Council consisted of 250 industry experts from companies such as Adobe, Netflix and Shutterstock.
“REV’s three Telly-winning projects would not have been possible without a number of teams’ synergistic collaborations,” said Megan Mercer, REV’s manager of Video Production and Public Relations. “So many people work behind the scenes on projects like these – from conceptualizing and writing scripts to creating graphics, scheduling shoots across various markets, editing and more. We are thankful that the Telly Awards Judging Council selected REV to be a 2024 recipient of three awards, and we are also delighted that they were able to see some of the unique culture of South Louisiana.”
REV received two silver Telly Awards in the category of Branded Content – Commercials for Hometown Service and REV Business Spotlight: Terrebonne Parish Communications District. The local telco and broadband provider also received a bronze Telly Award in the Social Video – Education Institution category for the REV Bayou Region Tailgate Show: South Lafourche Tarpons vs. Central Lafourche Trojans featuring interviews with football players, coaches, cheerleaders, band members and other school-specific, student-led programs.
