Josh Descant is the CEO of REV, a telecommunications company that is expanding to the Northshore. He talked about their plan, and what he says makes them stand out in the industry. Anne Pablovich came in from St Tammany Health System to talk about work they are doing in the community. They have a couple of events coming up in the next month that involve free screenings.

“Endless Opportunities, Expanded Connectivity” was the theme of this year’s annual meeting. Parish President Miller offered a brief update on the “middle-mile” dark fiber loop around the parish, construction of which began earlier this month. The group also heard an update on the broadband industry from representatives of REV Business, who sponsored this year’s annual meeting.
