REV recognizes $1M in scholarships awarded to South Louisiana high school seniors
Since 1984, REV’s scholarship program has supported 247 graduating seniors
Gonzales, La. – REV recently awarded scholarships to seniors throughout its South Louisiana service area at various high schools’ awards ceremonies held at the close of the school year – eclipsing a $1M milestone in 2025.
Continuing its decades-spanning commitment to education, REV’s scholarship program recently expanded to other communities where its residential services are available.
“Parallelling our communities’ rising demand for our services, it was the right time to grow our graduating seniors’ access to this celebrated scholarship program,” said Tressy Leindecker, executive vice president of Sales and Marketing. “We’re honored to award our 2025 winners but are even more excited about our scholarship fund’s future impact – growing alongside REV’s reach into other parts of the state.”
Founded in 1984 – in what was then Latelco’s service area of Lafourche Parish and Grand Isle – during the program’s 41-year legacy, 247 graduating seniors have earned college-supporting scholarships from the local communications provider.
“We’re incredibly proud of the now-41-year impact REV’s scholarship program has delivered,” said Peter Louviere, REV’s CFO. “As a dedicated investment in our state’s future workforce, this program not only supports talented, academically achieving individuals but also strengthens our great state by retaining bright minds who’ll contribute to Louisiana’s long-term economic and social growth.”
Recipients of REV’s 2025 scholarships are:
- Madeline Bourgeois (Dutchtown High School)

- Ximena Galicia (South Lafourche High School)
- Beaux Guidry (South Lafourche High School)

- Jude LeBeouf (South Lafourche High School)
- Kaelyn Pham (South Lafourche High School)
- Ada Plaisance (South Lafourche High School)

Eligibility, criteria, and considerations for REV’s scholarship program include being a current REV residential customer in good standing, residing in a REV service area, cumulative grade point average (GPA), American College Testing (ACT) scores, financial need, demonstrated leadership and community involvement. Candidates are also required to submit an essay as part of the application and top-scoring finalists are interviewed by REV’s selection committee consisting of teammates from various departments and regions.
